Reincarnated as the most hated villain C1.1
Chapter 1:
Awakening as the Villain
Part 1:
The Reincarnated Broken Character Was Hated by All the Characters
When I awoke
from my slumber, I found myself in an unfamiliar place. Instead of the ceiling
I was used to seeing, I was met with a vast blue sky stretching as far as the
eye could see and a wide plain where someone was lying down as if asleep.
It was a hill,
offering an unobstructed view of the sky.
Confused and
disoriented, I tried to recall how I ended up there. I remember playing games
in my room until I fell asleep during the three-day weekend. But now, I was
suddenly stranded in this wilderness.
It felt like
a dream, similar to the popular internet phenomenon where people fantasize
about being reincarnated or transported to a fantasy world. But deep down, I
knew that couldn’t be the case.
To confirm my
suspicion, I pinched my cheek and felt the sting of pain. It was a strange
sensation to feel everything so vividly, even in a dream.
As I searched
through my pockets, I found a shard of a mirror and looked into it out of
curiosity. To my horror, I saw a face that wasn’t my own. The reflection showed
silver hair, bright red eyes, and a Western-style face that didn’t belong to
someone of Japanese descent.
I was stunned
and fell back onto the ground, my mind racing with questions and confusion.
“This, this
guy...”
The
character I was reincarnated as was the most hated and wicked villain from the
popular game I was just playing. His name is “Robelia Crowley, the Arrogant
Sorcerer”.
“Arcadia
Fantasy” is a classic fantasy RPG and a popular social game in Japan played on
smartphones. It is famous for its charming characters, captivating storyline,
and high replay value, which helped it dominate the top rankings on app stores.
The game’s
protagonist is a young man named Reinhar, who was chosen as the hero in the
selection ceremony. He embarks on a quest to save the world with the help of a
girl who had been sealed away for a thousand years and numerous companions.
Reinhar is the guild master of the “Knights of the Heroes,” an organization
that has over a hundred members and guild bases scattered throughout the world.
Despite his ordinary appearance with black hair and black eyes, he is adored by
many women and admired by handsome men. He is the absolute protagonist who has
established absolute status and trust, which everyone dreams of.
However, the
character I was reincarnated as, Robelia, is the complete opposite. He is the
most hated villain in the game, who has an arrogant and difficult personality.
He is one of the twelve strongest characters in the game world and possesses
cheat-level magical skills. Although I still don’t know why I became this
character, I need to understand the current situation. Based on his appearance,
Robelia is likely middle-aged.
At this
point, his notoriety had likely spread far and wide, due to her research into
the forbidden “black magic” and his attempts to use its power to destroy the
world.
“Black magic”
was a cruel and ancient form of magic that could only be wielded through the
use of “black magic power,” which transformed the human body into that of a
demon.
It was no
wonder that someone who would seek to use such a harmful form of magic, despite
being human themselves, would be despised by all.
Robelia held
a deep hatred for the game’s protagonist, Reinhar. He constantly interfered
with his plans and caused countless players to suffer due to her brutal
tactics, rendering even the most strategic players helpless.
However,
according to the game’s storyline, Robelia was slated to meet a fitting end in
the first installment, being killed disgracefully by Reinhar’s holy sword. If
my own possession of Robelia’s body followed suit, then my fate would be just
as dismal.
To avoid this
tragic ending, I knew I had to take action, but living a normal life without
resorting to villainous deeds was the only way to ensure that I wouldn’t fall prey
to such a fate.
With that
thought in mind, I stood up from the grass and accidentally dropped a book from
my pocket. Upon hastily picking it up, I realized that it was an “Experiment
Diary,” and as I flipped through its pages, I was suddenly overcome with dread.
——It appeared
that Robelia had already successfully completed the black magic experiment to
its final stage.
